20th March - Saint Josef Bilczewski
What does the poor man do at the rich man's door, the sick man in the presence of his physician, the thirsty man at a limpid stream? What they do, I do before the Eucharistic God. I pray. I adore. I love - Saint Francis of Assisi.
“Totally sacrifice oneself for the Holy Church” was the motto of Saint Josef Bilczewski as Bishop. He extended such care to the homeless and poor in the turbulent times in which he lived. Among other things he pointed out the need for the development of devotion to the Most Blessed Sacrament and frequent reception of Holy Communion.
