As no darkness can be seen by anyone surrounded by light, so no trivialities can capture the attention of anyone who has his eyes on Christ. If we truly think of Christ as our source of holiness, we shall refrain from anything wicked or impure in thought or act and thus show ourselves to be worthy bearers of his name. For the quality of holiness is shown not by what we say but by what we do in life - Saint Gregory of Nyssa.

So my dear brothers and sisters in Christ, it is time to grow, nurture and deepen our faith in God as Jesus taught us in today’s gospel reading. So let us do so, by living out the gospel of Christ when we practice the virtues of Patience, Perseverance, Humility and Confidence in God.
So my brothers and sisters, since today’s Palm Sunday celebration calls us to pledge our allegiance and loyalty to God who loves us through penance, mortification, fasting, charity and prayers, let us do so today with Humility, Patience and firmness of faith in Him as we participate in His passion and death this Holy Week.
