My brothers and sisters, let us always participate prayerfully and actively in the celebration of the Eucharist because true and authentic participation in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, identifies us with Jesus’s Heart, sustains our strength along the pilgrimage of this life, makes us long for eternal life, and unites us even now to the Church in heaven, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and all the saints.
My brothers and sisters in Christ, as we meditate on today’s celebration, Palm Sunday of the Passion of the Lord, never forget that Jesus’s passion and death was an act of love. Hence, let us reciprocate our love for God by sincerely going back to Him in sorrow; by remorsefully acknowledging our sins; by asking God for pardon through the sacrament of Confession; and lastly, by truly making amends and changing our lives like Peter did.
My brothers and sisters, it is time to start preparing ourselves for the kingdom of heaven today because we do not know when our lives here would end or when the judgement day will come. So let us be encouraged by Jesus’s words to us in today’s gospel reading that ‘by our perseverance, we will secure our lives,’ and let us continue to answer His call to be His true disciples by accepting His gospel and by living it out in our world today.
