So my dear brothers and sisters, as we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity today, let us appreciate and proclaim the love of the Triune God, by going out and making disciples of all nations; by teaching them to observe all that God has commanded us; and by reminding all that God is always with us, until the end of the age.
Today’s readings answer three very important questions about us Catholic Christians. They answer the questions: Who are we as Catholic Christians? What is our duty as Catholic Christians or disciples of Christ? And Why we are called to be disciples of Christ?
American Catholics celebrate Black Catholic History Month each November. The annual celebration began in 1990, and this year 2022, our Los Angeles Catholics family are focusing our attention on the “Holy Six” — the Black Catholics who ministered in the United States and who are currently under formal consideration for canonization.
