My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, let us pray in today’s Eucharistic celebration for the grace to emulate the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph in practicing the virtues of family life they taught us by effectively communicating better with one another; by listening to each other when we communicate; by understanding one another as we communicate, and lastly, by sacrificing for the sake and good of the other.
So my brothers and sisters, let’s work hard in our spiritual lives, by being charitable to others in word and deed. Let us never give up in our faith in God by actively participating in the sacraments of the Church and in our various church ministries. And let us stand firm in God and be steadfast in Him through frequent prayers and reading of the Holy Scripture.
So my dear brothers and sisters in Christ, no matter what you are going through today, or your problems, frustrations, and worries, it is time to answer Jesus’s invitation by going back to Him in humility, and by deepening our faith in Him, so as to wholeheartedly hope and trust in Him, and we will surely find rest for ourselves, because His will give us rest, for His yoke is easy and His burden, light.
