My brothers and sisters, let us combine the love of God shown us by Mary in today’s gospel reading with the diligence and work ethic of Martha as we continue to grow in our faith in God and come closer to Him.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, as we celebrate the Solemnity of the Ascension of Christ into heaven today, let us wake up from our spiritual slumber, keep our eyes fixed on God who loves us and who is always with us; and let us tirelessly and relentlessly work hard to deepen our faith in God and fulfill our mission to evangelize the world through witnessing to Christ.
My dear brothers and sisters, today we are once more reminded that we have a Good Shepherd Jesus Christ, who knows us, who loves us, who provides for us and who protects us; so let us strive to be part of His sheepfold or flock today by recognizing Him, by accepting Him, by being respectful to Him; by being loyal to Him, by being faithful and dedicated to Him; and by always following Him as He leads us to His Father.
