2nd August - Saint Eusebius of Vercelli
(Christ's) character is twofold: like the head of the body in that He is regarded as God and yet comparable to the feet in that He put on humanity for the sake of our salvation, a man of passions like ours - Saint Eusebius of Vercelli.
Saint Eusebius, you were a faithful pastor who loved his flock, cared for the clergy, and defended the divinity of Christ. For your fidelity, you suffered greatly. Pray for us, that we will never allow suffering to deter us from our calling to share the love of Christ and to defend the truth for the good of others. Saint Eusebius of Vercelli, pray for us!
