27th October – Saint Frumentius
Loving Father, Saint Frumentius was called the Apostle of Ethiopia because, as a bishop, he was sent there to spread the Faith. When he was captured and taken to the king, he was made a member of his court. Having such access to the king gave him a better opportunity to introduce Christianity into the country. Saint Frumentius intercede for us whenever our plans go astray, especially when those plans were carefully made. Help us to set aside our own agenda and to welcome the unexpected and recognize what new opportunity God has provided for us. When we are surprised or frustrated O Lord, may we know You are really the one in charge. Saint Frumentius, pray for us!
