24th December - St. Adele
Heavenly God and Father, Saint Adele answered her call as a wife and mother by truly serving You in taking care of her family, praying, and doing works of mercy. After the death of her husband, she became a nun, founded a convent and served as its first abbess, with prudence, great compassion and holiness. May she intercede for all women and men who are being called to a religious vocation late in life, to hear and answer Your call. Direct and assist them to join the orders that best suits their gifts, and inspire their families to generously encourage and support them. Amen!
