If only we would learn how great it is to possess divine grace and how many riches it has within itself, how many joys and delights. My brothers and sisters, let us always participate prayerfully and actively in the celebration of the Eucharist because true and authentic participation in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, identifies us with Jesus’s Heart, sustains our strength along the pilgrimage of this life, makes us long for eternal life, and unites us even now to the Church in heaven, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and all the saints.
So my dear friends in Christ, let us resolve today to be good samaritans to our brothers and sisters who are down and experiencing difficult situations in life by truly living out the corporal works of mercy and the spiritual works of mercy, because what you did to your neighbor or one of God’s little ones, you did to God and He will not forget it when your hour of judgment comes.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, as we celebrate the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ today, let us love God all the more in the Holy Eucharist by being grateful and thankful for His blessings, graces and mercies upon us; by deepening and strengthening our faith in Him, by saying ‘no’ to sin; by being united as one in Christ; and lastly, by committing ourselves to the poor.
