18th December - Saints Rufus and Zosimus
But to those who are so much afraid of death, I say, My children, do what you are supposed to do; do not indulge in foul talk, frequent the sacraments, and do not give into gluttony. Death then will not frighten you. Do good while you still have time - Saint John Bosco
Saints Rufus and Zosimus were Christian citizens of Antioch, and were brought to Rome with Saint Ignatius of Antioch during the reign of Emperor Trajan. In Rome, Rufus and Zosimus were killed by being thrown to the beasts in the Roman arenas. They died in 107.
