St. Rufus & Zosimus are remembered for their steadfast faith and willingness to suffer for Christ, embodying the spirit of St. Ignatius of Antioch’s of famous words, "I am God's wheat, ground by the teeth of wild beasts, that I may be found pure bread," highlighting their desire to be united with Christ through suffering and martyrdom.
So my dear brothers and sisters, as we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity today, let us appreciate and proclaim the love of the Triune God, by going out and making disciples of all nations; by teaching them to observe all that God has commanded us; and by reminding all that God is always with us, until the end of the age.
My dear brothers and sisters, as we celebrate the Solemnity of our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe and as we come to the end of our liturgical year today, let us pray for the grace to continue to establish God’s kingdom in our world and society today by living out His gospel of love through the call to Service, Humility, Justice and Dedication.
My dear brothers and sisters, today’s Solemnity calls us to be one in God, in the Holy Trinity, to stay away from greed, jealousy and envy, rather focus on proclaiming God and living out His love in our thoughts, words and actions, so as to bring unity and peace into our lives and into our world.
