Saint Paternus, you dedicated your life to the Christian faith by your preaching, charity, and life of mortification. By your strong leadership, you laid the foundation for the growth and success of the church; please pray for us to be dedicated in our call to tirelessly spread the gospel and to inspire others to become powerful forces for good in the world. O Lord our God! You are one in nature. You are one in number. Truly have you said that besides you there is no God. For though many may be called gods or thought to be gods, you alone are by nature God. You are the true God from whom, in whom and through whom all things are; you are blessed forever.
I am where God wills me to be, and so I have found rest and security. His wisdom governs me, His power defends me, His grace sanctifies me, His mercy encompasses me, His joy sustains me and all will go well with me.
