God, You made St. Paternus an outstanding exemplar of Divine love and the Faith that conquers the world, and added him to the roll of saintly pastors. Grant by his intercession that we may persevere in Faith and love and become sharers of his glory. Amen
Hence my dear brothers and sisters, this Easter season, we are called to become the light of Christ in the world because we have been reborn in Him and are new beings. So let us seek what is above, and not what is on earth and carry this light of the risen Lord into the world; testifying and preaching to the world that Jesus Christ our Lord is truly risen from the dead.
So my brothers and sisters, since today’s Palm Sunday celebration calls us to pledge our allegiance and loyalty to God who loves us through penance, mortification, fasting, charity and prayers, let us do so today with Humility, Patience and firmness of faith in Him as we participate in His passion and death this Holy Week.
My dear brothers and sisters, let the zeal for God’s house consume us and propel us into the world today, to preach, teach and live out the Word of God like Jesus Christ did.
