Never give up prayer, and should you find dryness and difficulty, persevere in it for this very reason. God often desires to see what love your soul has, and love is not tried by ease and satisfaction.
Pray always my dear friends, because prayer is our conversation with God, in which we praise Him, adore Him, worship Him, thank Him for all He does in our lives, and ask Him for our needs.
He who avoids prayer is avoiding everything that is good.
The voice is John, but the Lord in the beginning was the Word. John was a voice that lasted only for a time; Christ, the Word in the beginning, is eternal.
So my dear brothers and sisters in Christ, it is time to grow, nurture and deepen our faith in God as Jesus taught us in today’s gospel reading. So let us do so, by living out the gospel of Christ when we practice the virtues of Patience, Perseverance, Humility and Confidence in God.
